Welcome home

Named for the fog that rises off the ridgelines, best watched from a rocker.

We’re Barry & Suzette, and Cedar Creek Manor has been our family’s place on the crest of the hill for years. It sits on the peaceful side of the Smokies, where the mornings come in slow and foggy and the evenings end around the fire pit. Five bedrooms, a game room the kids never leave, and a porch made for doing absolutely nothing — there’s room here for everyone to spread out and unwind.

Inside the Manor

Room for the whole crew — and then some.

Five bedrooms, three baths, and room for ten across two floors — about 2,400 square feet, with a spot for everyone from the little ones to the grandparents. Here’s what you’ll find when you settle in.

The game room is the reason families book again. Rain or shine, this is where the tournaments start — a pool table with a ping-pong top, foosball, giant checkers underfoot, and an Xbox for when the grown-ups finally want the room back.

Kitchen & comfort

A well-appointed kitchen with room to cook for a crowd, a fireplace on the upper floor, fast Wi-Fi, central heat and air, and a washer and dryer for the long stays. Linens and towels are all here — just bring yourselves.

Outdoors & deck

A gas fire pit on the front deck, rockers lined up for the view, and fog in the valley most mornings. The top floor is reachable step-free by a rear ramp from the driveway.

Rest easy

Five bedrooms sleep ten across two floors, with three full baths and homey, hand-pieced quilts throughout.

Dogs welcome, too — up to two.

The quiet side, minutes from the good stuff.

Townsend keeps the crowds at arm’s length, but you’re a short drive from Cades Cove, the national park, and all the noise of Pigeon Forge whenever you want it.

Into the Park

Roll into Cades Cove before breakfast and you’ll have the loop road nearly to yourself — white-tailed deer in the fields and the morning light spilling gold across the valley. Deeper in the park, elk graze the meadows at dusk.

Townsend calls itself the peaceful side of the Smokies, and it earns the name. You’re minutes from Cades Cove and the national park, but far enough off the main road to actually hear the quiet — horses across the way, a creek down the hill, fog on the ridges most mornings.
